laser inscription
Microscopic · permanent · tamper-proof
A very fine, precise laser beam etches tiny markings along the girdle — a stock number, a brand logo, a personal message, even a QR code. Invisible to the naked eye; clear under a jeweller's loupe.

white hole drilling
For floating, feather-light settings
Tiny holes drilled through the stone let it hang on a thread or wire instead of a traditional setting — floating pendants and earrings with a clean, modern look. Done well, a white hole is tiny and hard to see.

laser drilling
Dark inclusions, removed
A laser channel reaches a dark inclusion — black carbon — inside the diamond so it can be removed, making the stone appear clearer. Often combined with fracture filling to enhance brilliance.

04 — Engraving
art on the hardest canvas
Creating designs or photos in diamonds with a laser is a highly precise, intricate process. Detailed custom patterns, images and even text can be engraved on diamonds — otherwise hard to modify because of their hardness.

Laser inscription means using a very fine, precise laser beam to etch tiny markings on the surface of a diamond — usually along the girdle, the thin outer edge of the stone. These inscriptions are microscopic, invisible to the naked eye, and can only be seen under magnification, like with a jeweller's loupe.
The inscription could be
A stock number
A brand logo
A personal message — names, dates and more
Even security marks like QR codes, in very advanced cases
Benefits
Proof of authenticity
Helps link the diamond directly to its grading report. If the stock or report number is on the diamond, you can verify it easily.
Security and identification
In case of loss or theft, an inscribed diamond is much easier to identify and claim.
Personalisation
Customise your diamond with a date, initials or a special message — making it more sentimental.
Increased buyer confidence
When selling or buying, an inscribed diamond builds trust because it ties back to an official grading report.
Invisible aesthetically
Because it's microscopic, it doesn't affect the diamond's beauty or sparkle at all.
Tamper-proof
Laser inscriptions are permanent unless someone re-polishes the girdle very heavily, which is rare.
Creating designs or photos in diamonds using a laser machine is a highly precise and intricate process. The technique allows detailed and custom patterns, images or even text to be engraved on diamonds, which are otherwise hard to modify due to their hardness.
The process
Laser machine technology
A high-powered laser beam is directed onto the diamond's surface, creating small, detailed engravings. The beam can be fine-tuned to create intricate patterns, logos or even detailed images.
Precision and detail
Because of the diamond's hardness and the laser's precision, the designs are extremely sharp and clear, even for minute details — work that manual carving would find difficult or impossible.
Personalisation
Names, dates, custom logos or even detailed photos. Especially popular in custom jewellery, where people want their rings, necklaces or earrings to carry a unique design.
Benefits
High precision
Fine details without impacting the integrity of the diamond — intricate designs that would be difficult to achieve manually.
Customisation
Images, initials or messages add emotional and personal value — perfect for gifts or special occasions.
Increased security
A unique number, name or serial code helps track and authenticate diamonds — an extra layer of security against theft or loss.
No physical wear
No contact that could cause visible wear or scratching. A permanent mark without compromising the surface.
Invisibility of the process
Done microscopically, often invisible to the naked eye unless you look closely with magnification — discreet and elegant, especially in engagement rings and fine jewellery.
Durability
The engraving is permanent. The design won't fade or wear off over time.
Applications
Custom jewellery
Personalised rings, necklaces and bracelets with unique engravings.
Branding
Jewellery designers and luxury brands mark their pieces with their logo or trademark, giving them authenticity and exclusivity.
Identification
Serial numbers or other identifiers on high-value diamonds help with insurance claims, security and resale.
White hole drilling refers to a tiny mark or pit drilled into a diamond for making jewellery. When the laser drills into the diamond it can leave a tiny, whitish hole at the entry point — this is called a white hole.
These holes are sometimes visible under magnification, like a 10× jeweller's loupe. A well-done laser drill is very tiny and hard to see; careless work leaves bigger, more obvious white holes. White holes are different from natural imperfections — they are a man-made feature, and can slightly affect a stone's value.
What is a white hole drilled diamond?
Laser-drilled diamonds
Small holes are created with lasers to remove dark inclusions — internal flaws.
Drilled for mounting
In artistic or minimalist jewellery, tiny holes are drilled through the diamond to suspend it with thread or wire instead of a traditional setting — "floating" diamond pendants and earrings.
Benefits
Improved appearance
Laser drilling removes visible inclusions, making the diamond appear clearer — often combined with fracture filling to enhance brilliance.
Creative design flexibility
Drilled diamonds allow invisible or floating settings in pendants and earrings, for a clean, modern look.
Lower cost
More affordable than untreated diamonds of similar clarity — great for fashion jewellery where budget matters but sparkle is desired.
Lightweight & elegant
Jewellery can be more delicate and subtle, without heavy metal settings.
Symbolic use
Floating diamonds can symbolise freedom, clarity or purity — especially in spiritual or minimal designs.

At Super Diamond we excel in the cold diamond polishing process — a sophisticated, non-thermal polishing procedure for increasing the shine, durability and clarity of diamonds. Our cold luster treatment is popular among jewellers, manufacturers and diamond traders who need a flawless, brilliant finish without compromising the stone's integrity.
What is the cold luster process?
A new method in the diamond industry for precise surface polishing. Unlike conventional treatment processes, it uses no heat whatsoever — so the diamond does not lose its brilliance, its form and, most importantly, its beauty.
Why choose our cold luster treatment
Enhances shine & luster
Advanced nano technology improves light reflectivity for all types of diamonds, bringing out their maximum sparkle.
Non-thermal polishing — no damage
No alteration to the diamond's original structure, unlike heat polishing.
Improves surface clarity
Removes surface imperfections while retaining the stone's beauty, for an elegant finish.
Shine enhancement with diamond coating
Polished diamonds are preserved with a luster coating that keeps them glossy for years.
Trusted in India and abroad
Our diamond shine services are popular among diamond polishers, retailers and jewellers in India and around the world.
